1. Unroll the mat and place it on the floor or a flat surface.
2. Wearing only a light fabric shirt or covering lie with the mat, evenly covering your back.
3. Remain on the mat for 10 minutes the first time and then, on successive days, build up to 20 minutes per day.
4. For more severe conditions, the mat can be used for up to an hour per day.
5. The mat can also be used under the feet, under the head or on the stomach for specific conditions.
