Dry needling differs from acupuncture in that no previous knowledge of point location or Chinese medicine theory is required to perform it. Even though this book provides a pictorial image of points of the face that can be addressed using this needling procedure. So it gives insight to techniques for facial procedures, yet with pretreatment do’s & don’t’s. There is step by step instructions for customers interested in targeting specific cosmetic problem areas. In addition, the literature explains for sanitary purposes the difference of metal vs plastic needles. The most awesome part about this book is that there are aftercare tips, and complementary treatment types for needling which includes jade rollers, and cupping therapies to name a few. Lastly, this informative book provides a vital last step, yet advises on the time after work performed patient must remain laying down. Hence, there is also details on the types of products to use afterwards to assist skin replenishment via deep moisturizer oil, lotion, or creams.The best feature of all is the incorporation of this procedures multi body part usage, as it can be done for anatomical distal points on one’s body such as: bladder, or stomach; more over, this type of needling is proven holistically to keep ones body and their blood flow grounded. As a result, there won’t be too much blow flow towards the head area. I love this very detailed step by step descriptive and informative book.
